KINGS POINT IN A NUTSHELL

Having spent time in Kings Point in the 1920s, writer F. Scott Fitzgerald no doubt drew influence for his Great Gatsby’s “West Egg” from the exclusive peninsula with its lush properties, elaborate waterfront mansions and its wealthy inhabitants’ opulent lifestyles.  One century later, according to the NY Times, “Kings Point is still home to the rich and maybe the famous, although they cherish their privacy”.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND

Several original estates endure but many have been razed and their properties subdivided.  Single family homes on interior, water view and waterfront lots generally ranging from one to multiple acres display diverse architectural styles from Georgian manors, to stately Tudors, elaborate stucco Mediterraneans, impressive brick new construction, sprawling ranches and more.  Many locations offer private neighborhood associations with swimming pools, docks or other amenities.

WHAT’S TO LOVE

In addition to being a beautiful peninsula, Kings Point’s proximity to New York City by car or rail, access to top restaurants, boutiques and services in Great Neck’s bustling downtown, private Village government and police force, and top-rated public schools all contribute to the high quality of life this Village offers.

Quiet, private, exclusive.

KEEPING BUSY

In addition to its neighborhood associations, Kings Point has two beautiful parks: Steppingstone Park & Marina which offers mooring, and Kings Point Park with nature trails for hiking and cross-country skiing, a sled hill, tennis courts, softball fields, playgrounds and picnic areas.  Additionally, the park district's Parkwood Pool and Sports Complex is partially located within the village, on its border with the Incorporated Village of Great Neck.

Other recreational facilities within the village include the Broadlawn Harbour Yacht Club, the Kennilworth Pool Club, and the Shelter Bay Yacht Club – all of which are privately-owned.
