FUN TO KNOW:

Mill Neck took its name from the original mill built by Henry Townsend in 1661 with a grant from his fellow freeholders.  The old saw mill at Mill Neck produced cut lumber in planks as well as turnings for rails and balusters, columns and fence posts.  It remained active until shortly before it was demolished in 1890.
